Inspired by the four sacred animals (dragon, unicorn, turtle and phoenix) in the belief of the ancient Vietnamese people, the light festival is designed as a mosaic of colorful lights, the interactive 3D technology promises to take visitors to the world of shimmering colors and wonderful performances.
Light shows will open everyday from 7pm to 9pm at different venues:
- Japanese Bridge: a ten-minute show reappearing the trading, cultural exchange and life of Hội An throughout the time. It helps audiences to learn more about the long-standing tradition of Hội An.
- 31 Nguyen Thai Hoc street: With 3D mapping technology, the yellow wall here is chosen to show audiences the beautiful images of Hoi An, Quangnam and well-known destinations in Vietnam.
- Kazik Garden: decorated as Dragon and Phoenix Square with lighting and colorful lanterns
- Junction of Nguyen Thai Hoc street and Le Loi street: an magic floor brings you a spectacular interaction, a street highlight!
In addition, the whole space of Hội An ancient town will be lightened up and decorated with mascots and lanterns. It promises to conquer audiences’ hearts.
Light festival – “Shades of Hội An” has a great significance in 2017 because it is not only a new event to attract tourists to Hội An, but also an event to kick start the new year which is full of fantastic events will take place in Hoi An in the upcoming June as Quangnam Heritage Festival, International Choir Competition, Heritage city exchange and Hoi An international food festival.
