On the occasion of the 13th Anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognized as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, Entrance ticket to Hoi An ancient town will be free f-rom 7:00 to 21:00 in Dec.4th, 2012.
The people's Hoi An committee of Hoi An city made a decision to raise the entrance fee for visiting Hoi An ancient town up.
The event “Hoi An–Japan Festival” is periodically organized in the Hoi An Ancient town every August. This year 2012, “the Hoi An–Japan Festival X” f-rom 24 to 26 August forms part of the activities of the National Tourism Year “Heritage Tourism 2012” .

On the occasion of 7th anniversary of Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Day ( November 23rd, 2005 - November 23rd, 2011) and 12th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town – The World Cultural Heritage (December 4th, 1999 - December 4th , 2011 ); also in the working agenda of the City, programme of “ Reappearing Hoi An Legendary Night in the early 20th century” in Hoi An ancient town presided by Hoi An Center of Sports and Culture will be organized unscheduledly.
