See you next time!

It has become quieter in Hoi An now. The 1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition is over, most of the choirs left the city yesterday. Today the INTERKULTUR staff will fly back home as well.

During the last two days again there was a real festival atmosphere in the city. Many people (locals and tourists) had come to Hoi An Full Moon Festival on Friday evening. Choirs performed in Friendship Concerts at every corner. There was almost no getting through.

Saturday morning the best choirs of the competition were singing for the Hoi An Choir Prize. There was an outstanding atmosphere: Every choir was cheered by all other participants, and at some point we could hear only the chants: In-do-nesia! Phi-lip-pines! Sri Lan-ka! …etc. Just great!

In the evening, finally, the results of the competitions and the winner of the Hoi An Choir Prize were announced at the Prize Giving Ceremony (photo), accompanied by shouting and cheering! All results can be found here.

We’re already looking forward to the 2nd Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition now.
And you?

PS: New photos f-rom Closing Event, choirs singing in the competitions and f-rom Hoi An Full Moon Festival, as always, can be found on flickr. Have fun watching!
