Earth Hour is an annual environmental campaign organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights.
In 2019, with the theme of "Save energy, save earth", the event aims to deliver a message that energy use in manufacturing and living is one of the factor that causes climate change, affecting to natural environment and species’ life on Earth.
In the former time, it is believed that displaying a fruitful kumquat tree on Lunar New Year day is a way to express their wish for a happy and prosperious new year.
After the success of the event last year, The Embassy of Korea, The Center for culture of Korea in Vietnam will coordinate with People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province and Hoi An City to hold “Korean cultural days in Hoi An, 2018” with cultural and entertained activities which will occur on 12nd & 13rd October, 2018 at An Hoi Sculpture Garden.

In order to strengthen the relationship between Hội An city (Vietnam) and Andong City(Korea), in cooperation with Andong City and International Mask Arts and Culture Organization (IMACO), Hội An City will hold “Andong Cultural Day in Hội An" from November 14th to 16th, 2017.
