Organizing board of “ THE 9th HOI AN-JAPAN FESTIVAL-2011”
According to Organizing Board of Viet Nam – Japan cultural exchange event in Hoi An, the 9th exchange festival this year will be held on 02 days ( August 20-21, 2011) with a lot of impressive activities.
The 9th Hoi An - Japan cultural exchange day – 2011 will be a colourful festival with activities such as Kimono, Aodai performance on Kimono materials and se-lecting Miss Kimono Hoi An.
Vietnam will hold its first ever International Choir Festival and Competition (VICC 1) in Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam f-rom March 16-19, said Deputy Director of the Vietnam Opera and Ballet Theatre Pham Hong Hai on February 9.

For centuries, the Whale Festival in Quang Nam Province has been considered to be the biggest water festival by the fishermen living there. It has been celebrated with the hope of bringing good luck when going fishing, and it is also believed that paying respect to the Whale God will ensure safety and prosperity for the entire village.
This year’s Miss Earth contestants wrapped up their outdoor activities in the beautiful towns of Hoi An and Nha Trang early this week.
The UNESCO-recognized natural heritage site of Hoi An town, in the central province of Quang Nam, welcomed and gave a gift to the fourth millionth visitor of 2010.
