The year of 2018 celebrates the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2018), which has provided enduring peace and cooperation between the two countries and its peoples. To celebrate this symbolic year and the rich history of the two cultures, U Café Hoi An along with the People’s Committee of Hoi An city will organize an exchange concert by the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra Quartet.

The year of 2014 links with several important events for Hoi An city which are 15th anniversary of Hoi An Ancient Town being recognized as a World Cultural Heritage (04/12/1999-2014) and 5th anniversary of Cham Island being recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve (26/5/2009-2014).
