Trà Quế is a land which has the characteristics of an island on the river, a coastal area with good soil, a river system and a cool climate. So for a long time, it was chosen as settlements by the communities of Sa Huỳnh, Chăm Pa and Đại Việt. They are farmers who have been cultivating for a long time on this land, contributing to the creation of many unique flavors for many culinary specialties of Hội An, Quảng Nam. In 2009, The National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam under the Ministry of Science and Technology issued a certificate of trademark registration to Trà Quế Vegetable Village, Hội An. In 2016, Trà Quế Vegetable Village was recognized as a traditional occupation village of Quáng Nam province. On April 4th, 2022, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recognized Trà Quế Vegetable Faming as National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
