Once a year, Tripadvisor rounds up its most highly rated destinations by collating reviews left by travelers on its site over 12 months. It then uses this data to determine its Best of the Best list, which fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded. This year, it’s Best of the Best Food Destinations list was topped by a surprising, yet worthy, spot, Vietnam’s Hoi An. 

There’s no doubt that for Aussies looking for a valuable holiday, Vietnam has risen to the top of the list. With affordable airfares landing Down Under, thanks to the introduction of Vietjet in 2023, and the relatively budget-friendly accommodation and food, it’s no surprise that those looking to get bang for their buck are heading straight for Vietnam.
